Why i made this...

I made this blog after having to write a response to an article in my local newspaper titled "All adults should own guns" and it got me, well frankly, very aggrivated, so I made this blog and posted my paper for all to see.

My Take On Life

Well, I am blogging on here because well, it's a blog, and facebook isn't appreciated enough. Anyway, life, or whatever. I am a perfectionist, and a pessimist. We try as humans to make life perfect, to derive some meaning from the nonsense equation by which we live our lives. That perfectionistic attitude, coupled with the inevitable let down of life's imperfections leads me at least to see that life is not perfect, can't ever be, Soul mates are in our heads, the perfect kiss the perfect date, the perfect situation, the perfect job... DONT EXIST, and to be completely honest, I think it's foolish to think that they do, now, you can be naive all you want, but one day you have to actually look at life and say, "well damn, what have I been doing?" And I hope you get to that day soon, or your existance will be a meaningless one. But then again, what is meaning? Who determines life's meaning, who can tell us what meaning actually is but ourselves, but can we even tell ourselves that?

We can but are we ever truely sure of our answer? Are we ever sure of any of our choices? We can't go back and "Do Over" so, do you think you have made the right choices? Do you ask "what if" at every turn? Can you predict the future? Can you figure out the best course of action? Is what you are doing right now the best thing for you? How can you be so sure?

I leave you with this, "How many roads must a man walk down, before coming to the conclusion he has been walking in circles?"

Bratz Are Teenage Sluts

Guess what everyone, your daughter might dress like a slut! And can anyone guess why? DOLLS!!!! Thats right, dolls. And I am not talking about the pussycat kind , although they are causing it too. "The Bratz are marketed as dolls with 'a passion for fashion.' Fashions that include low-cut jeans and halter tops worn over little girl-like bodies. MGA Entertainment (the company that makes them) says the dolls are geared toward girls ages 7-11, but girls as young as 4 are eager to play with them too." says one article. So basically, its ok for girls ages 7 to 11 to go to around dressing like little sluts, but when you begin to worry when your 4 year old goes to kindergarten wearing booty shorts? OK, at either age it is something to worry about... Well then, what are we going to do about it? Hmm, stop buying the dolls... NOOOO that would make our prescious angels cry. Stop buying them those type of clothes? Nope, wrong again. Bratz are creating Bratz and we can't do anything to stop it.

As an afterthought however, the Bratz "Divas" have there own television program on Saturday mornings. Parents if you have never watched the show, I would advise you watch it one day (Without your child) and see how badly the girls dress. Short Shorts covered up by a cute storyline. And the makers of Bratz say that "Adults see sex in everything, children do not." Damn right they don't, because if they did they wouldn't be wearing what they do, that is unless they want to work the streets for the rest of thier lives. Provacative clothing gives men provacative thoughts, and if you want your children to be clean, keep them on the right path.

Civil War is War but it isn't too Civil

Analysts say that if America pulls troops out of Iraq there will be a civil war. Great, good for them. MAYBE, we should compare our Civil War to there potential one. Well for one, We start with two warring factions in the Iraqis case it's the Shiites and the Sunnis, If my spelling is correct. Now, these groups have differences, and the only one I can see is that they believe different things about the Muslim religion. The civil War would also be a power struggle, as is ongoing now, the new leader could be worse then Saddam.
What strikes me though is why get involved in the first place. This sort of thing has been going on for the longest time and it just doesn't make sense at ALL. Korea, Vietnam, Afganistan, Iraq, Iran. WE as Americans go there "in the attepmt to quell (communism/terrorism)." Wow, this effects us, I know that, because there is a rise of "crazies" out there and some things just aren't helping it.
Where was I again, oh yes, The North is going to win, sorry that is the American Civil War. There are extermist cells within each organized religion and I say we can do 1 of two things, just let the suicide bombers bomb the snot out of Iraq until there are none left, in which case we would then jump in and save the day and rebuild them like we did Japan. Or the second option is to cause all the innocent people to flee to Europe and then we Nuke Iraq till it is more of a wasteland then we started with, then we rebuild.
With Either option people will die, so you decide, Pull out and face Civil War 2: Rise of Islam or Immigrantion Nuclear Nation.

Bulletproof Citizens

The problem arises in light of a Virginia Tech style massacre, always, and they all seem to be trying to top the one before them, Cho is just the most recent in line and has succeeded in setting that record. I am sure that Satan has a record and “Wall of Fame” of school shootings and Virginia Tech is at the top with a picture of Cho right next to it. Snazzy introduction done now lets get right to the meat of things.
First off guns are weapons of death, and that is there only purpose. Guns are offensive tools. Now with that settled, we move on to bigger things, if guns are offensive would an attacker and defender both need offence? Should we protect ourselves with something that can only bring harm in an attempt to stop the one attacking from brining harm? I say no, I say that we should defend ourselves with defensive mechanisms, and tools meant to protect, not tools meant to do harm. Because if I get shot and I shooter my attacker I am no better than he is. I tried to do harm to him because he caused me harm.
We as Americans should all be armed with bulletproof vests. A bulletproof vest is designed to be a defensive tool, something that can protect us in the event of an attacker. Think of this, how many victims of Virginia Tech would have been saved if they were wearing a bulletproof vest? A good deal of them is my answer; the attacker has the satisfaction of shooting someone but all that is left on the person’s body would be a welt or bruise. Having a gun would have done nothing against him because he was wearing something bulletproof or so early reports said.
But then we would all live in fear, but whose to say that we don’t now, but I think that being protected gives some a sense of well, protection. The government tries to protect the citizens by imposing laws and restrictions upon them. All that does is keep people down and restricts their freedom as Americans. Are we all just supposed to sit in fear as more and more shootings happen? The number of shootings is on the rise, there have been a reported 150 school shootings since Columbine, some too minor to care about nationally. But when a big one hits, it hits hard.
We all are now just desensitized to it all, the Virginia Tech massacre went from being a big headline taking up a generous portion of the screen on MSN.com to not even being there. Sure there are still news stories about it, but just one week after 32 people were shot to death, including the gunman, America has moved on, it no longer matters to us. The remnants that are left of it all will be forgotten as to why they are there. In fact in should not take a death for people to realize things need to change.
As the sphere of influence of the Virginia Tech shooting slowly diminishes Americans will move on back into their daily lives and April 16th will become just another anniversary, just like Columbine or the Oklahoma City bombing to name the two that will also be “remembered” that week as well.
